When brand new drivers and amps are used, and you're sitting still with the car off, the Bose system sounds GREAT. Great extension (down to 50Hz) and decent highs, though only realistically up to 15kHz. The system just can't produce the sound pressure levels required for good listening at speed. Four 4.5" transducers are not capable of being both loud and clear. This is when the Bose bashing begins. People want to be able to listen to their music while driving, a reasonable request. First off, what Infinity speakers did you use? Can you post a picture of how they were mounted? Using aftermarket 4" speakers is a significant downgrade from the stock Bose, and is discouraged. To adapt 6.5" speakers up front, you either need to use the Nissan OEM non-bose panels, from Coz, or follow Nixit's post here. 4" speakers won't seal properly in OEM Bose enclosures either, as they are square vs. the Bose tri-lobe design. The speakers you installed sound like crap because they're being underdriven. 23WRMS is definitely not enough juice. they need an amp. That Kenwood sub is garbage as well. Knowing this is what you were comparing to the Bose system, I can see why you want it back :-) You have two basic options. 1)If you've maintained the Bose system thus far (still have all the enclosures with amps and speakers in good condition), you can run that Alpine with no additional amplification and it'll sound as good as stock. 2)Remove all Bose enclosures, get the panels from Coz @ Concept Z Performance, install aftermarket speakers, use new wires, and amplify them with an external amp. Then get a sub box from ChrisZTT in Classifieds, get a nice 10" sub and enjoy. With his box, you still have T-Top storage and the whole other side of the cargo area open. Hope that helps.
